Who I am
I am driven by my desire to design things for people in such a way that they offer a real benefit. To do this, it is particularly important to me to understand what motivates subsequent users and what situation they find themselves in, what mental models they use in their context. I enjoy applying those findings when designing new products and seeing how they improve people's lives.
To accomplish this, I offer a broad spectrum of knowledge as well as honest, intellectual curiosity and determination. Starting out as a scientist, I pursued my admiration of complex, perfect systems while gaining a lot of experience as a freelance UI designer and taking on new challenges in a startup developing a B2B software tool. I then set myself the goal of professionalizing my skills and giving scientists better tools for their important work. To do this, I followed up my Bachelor of Science with a Bachelor of Engineering and learned how to develop clean and scalable software, but also how it becomes almost invisible as a tool in front of the actual goal of the user. I was able to deepen my knowledge in various university-related projects, expand it as part of my working student job and use it for my customers to generate valuable results in the long term.
